The school released a statement saying it was saddened by DelTondo's tragic death.

A Pennsylvania teacher suspended after she was found in a car with an underaged student was fatally shot outside her mother's home Sunday, authorities said.

DelTondo was engaged at the time and no charges were filed. The wedding was later called off.

In November, DelTondo was suspended from Pennsylvania Cyber Charter School after it was revealed in a 2016 police report that she was found in a car with a 17-year-old male student who attended a different school.

The teen's mother told WPXI-TV that there were rumors swirling between the teacher and her son.

Rachael DelTondo, 32, was shot multiple times in her upper body on her mother's driveway in Beaver County, authorities said.
