Report: Chris Brown 'sucker punched' photographer at Tampa club

The photographer suffered a minor laceration to his lip, but he refused medical attention at  the scene. He told police he wants to prosecute.

Singer Chris Brown reportedly "sucker punched" a photographer early Monday morning at a Tampa-area club, according to police reports.

Brown left the scene by the time Tampa Police officers were contacted and arrived at the club.

The incident happened at about 1 a.m. Monday at AJA Channelside, located at 290 Meridian Ave. S.

Bennie L. Vines Jr., who works as a photographer for the club, said he was taking photos when Brown punched him "for allegedly taking photos," a report states.
